Sacramento Lookbook: The Hot Safari Look

Updated: May 26, 2023

Another very warm sunny day in California. Outfit planned for dinner with friends and city strolls on the agenda.

I've been packing on the SPF and am so glad I got this particular one right before we left, it has been a lifesaver and I love the application! It's incredibly lightweight on the skin and applies in a glorious misty blanket. It's fragrance free which is great since I wanted the Soleil Neige to be the star fragrance of the day. It's the most delicate body mist with shimmer, I love it so much. Notes are jasmine, vanilla, and citrus and it smells like a vacation in a bottle.

I've been wearing hats nearly every day! I've just found these straw ones to be the ideal accessory at the moment, there's nothing like a functional yet stylish piece plus, Western wear is having a real moment for me.

I love using sheer button-up shirts as a cover-up considering it's a little cooler in the evenings here. I've had this Scotch & Soda sheer nylon vanilla top for a while now and just haven't had the exact moment to enjoy it until this trip. Words cannot describe how soft this shirt is!

Black espadrilles are a staple for any wardrobe. I got these on The RealReal but they're Rebecca Minkoff so the quality is just outstanding. I love the lacey bows and the silver metal embellishment around the base. Bonus, they're incredibly comfy.

I went for a very soft natural look using the Anastasia Sultry palette for today's makeup. I kept the vibe "romantic" and dreamy with a light smokey wing. The lips are a pink-mauve liquid lipstick I got in a Christmas advent for Sephora and am surprised how much I love it! It's just that perfect lip shade for my particular skin tone.
